Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Ci-Balanced (“we”, “us”) handles when you use ci-balanced.com and its tools, and the choices you have. The Ci-Balanced app at app.ci-balanced.com, which needs an account, is covered by the same principles plus the account section below.
1. The tools run on your device
The invoice and receipt generator, company stamp maker, PDF stamping and calculators work inside your browser.The documents, logos, signatures and details you enter are not uploaded to our servers. PDFs are created and stamped on your device.
To save you retyping, some tools store your entries (for example your business details, the current invoice draft and how many free downloads you have used today) in your browser’s local storage. This stays on your device; you can remove it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.
2. Information we collect
- Server logs. Like almost every website, our hosting provider (Google Firebase Hosting) records technical data when pages are requested — IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We use it to keep the site secure and working.
- Emails you send us. If you email us, we keep your message and address to reply and, if you asked, to tell you when Pro launches. We don’t sell or share them.
- App accounts. If you use the Ci-Balanced app, we store your account (name, email, sign-in provider) and the records you enter (transactions, stock, contacts) in Google Firebase so they sync across your devices. Only you and the people you invite to a workspace can see them.
3. Cookies and advertising
The free tools are supported by advertising. We use, or may use, Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ cookies at aboutads.info.
- See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Where the law requires it (for example for visitors in the European Economic Area and the UK), we ask for your consent before personalised ads are shown, through a consent message on the site.
We may also use privacy-respecting analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. Pro subscribers don’t see ads.
4. How we use information
To run and secure the site, answer your messages, provide the app you signed up for, and understand which tools to improve. We don’t sell personal information.
5. Payments
When Pro launches, payments will be processed by a licensed payment provider (for cards and, where available, mobile money). We won’t see or store your PIN or full card number.
6. Children
The site is intended for adults running a household or business and is not directed at children under 13.
7. Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — including your app account and its records — by emailing hello@ci-balanced.com. We handle personal data in line with applicable data protection laws, including Uganda’s Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 (where Ci-Balanced is based) and, for visitors in the EU and UK, the GDPR.
8. Changes
If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
