About us

Financial tools that fit how small businesses actually work

Ci-Balanced started as a budget and sales tracker for small businesses — the bakery recording counter sales, the salon tracking who still owes, the family planning school fees. It has grown into a set of free tools for the paperwork around money: invoices, receipts, company stamps and tax calculations.

Why we built it

Most invoicing and accounting software is built for larger companies, priced in monthly subscriptions and designed around a desk, a card terminal and a fast, always-on connection. Millions of small businesses work differently: they get paid by bank transfer, card, cash or mobile money, share documents on WhatsApp and email, and run their business from a phone. A stamp still matters on a letter; a receipt still comes off a small thermal printer. We build for that reality first.

How we build

Who is behind Ci-Balanced

Ci-Balanced is designed and built by Francis, an independent IT consultant and web and app developer who works on system design, websites and apps for businesses and organisations. Questions, feedback and partnership ideas are welcome — see the contact page.

A note on tax information

Our guides explain how invoices, VAT and related rules work in plain language. They are general information, not tax or legal advice, and rules differ between countries and change over time — always confirm current requirements with your tax authority or a qualified accountant before relying on them.
